Where Has The Time Gone?

First and foremost, wow. Can I please start off by saying how extremely apologetic I am because I haven’t updated for well over a month now, and I don’t have a valid excuse except for laziness. Not that I want to be lazy with my blog, but because I love this blog and I want to keep it alive as long as possible -though I might not get as many visitors as I want.

An update on myself, I’ve finished my spring semester roughly 4 weeks ago and I’m proud to tell my readers/supporters that I received a 3.65 GPA! Oh, how working hard truly pays off… For about 2 weeks now I’ve been in summer school for English. I’ve been doing a ton of reading and writing, but what else can I expect from an English class that’s suppose to take a whole 3 months to finish normally, and here I am trying to take it in a 5 week period.

Back to my love, Britney…

I saw a new twitter update from a Britney site, PoorBritney.com, pertaining to a Britney book, “Britney: Inside the Dream”. As dedicated as I am to be a Britney fan, I doubt I’ll be reading the book. Getting to my point, PoorBritney has written a new entry, discussing how Britney is in their eyes, which I find very honest, a little like how I see Brit, but most of all, how I’d like to see the other bloggers, tabloids, supporters, and haters see her as well. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been approached from people who’ve known me all my life, to people I barely know, and ask me, “Why do you like Britney?” Honestly, it isn’t very easy for me to have a straight up answer. I can’t just say she’s inspirational, because people who obviously read tabloids and know what a world wind Britney has gone through these past few years won’t recognize that. But after reading PoorBritney’s new entry I’ve come to find someone who can summarize why I do love this southern girl so much:

“I’ve always been intrigued with the person; the girl who has strength and smarts way beyond what people believe… I write about her just to satisfy my own need to speak of her, regardless of who comes to read. I post images of her just to see her… The depth of her feelings and emotions, the triumphs she’s had, the hard life she came from, all the hard work she has put in over the last ten years, and the crushing glare she’s constantly under. It was those special and different things about her that drew me in. That’s the Britney I like to talk about; not so much- how she danced, how she looked, but how she’s doing and where she’s going.”

This my friends is the real deal. I applauded PoorBritney for being such a great writer because I can never fully explain why I love Britney. I just become speechless.

I know this is quite a long update, but I haven’t written in a long time and it feels so good to be writing and Brit again.
